I don't know man, I jog 3 times a week with the Perl Pros and never had a problem with the size being an issue. Also own the xm5's, those are better to honest for exercise , so light it feels like I'm not even wearing buds. But the Perl Pros I wear more and stay in just fine. Just my experience.

r/Earbuds • I've narrowed down my choices to these four. Primary use is the gym and casual one-ear music sessions at work. Battery life not a dealbreaker necessarily. Recommendations? ->

I run Denon Perl Pros and have been listening to stuff that is in that wheelhouse. See: Major Crimes by Health and tell me if that fits your mold. I did get nausea from the Denon ANC but I wasn't worried about that feature so I've turned it off. The app will run a profile on your ears and tailor the EQ to your hearing range, then you can use the immersion slider. Bass is very strong but pleasing, feels really nice to listen to. Starboy by The Weeknd was a treat just because Im particularly fond of that bass line. Battery life is decent. I'm using them for 5-6 hours throughout the day with periodic trips back into the case and it took about a day and a half for the case to need charging, but they have wireless charging so you can make it fairly convenient to keep it topped off. It charges very fast which balances things out nicely.

I touched on that around the middle of my comment. It's strong but very pleasing. I'll add it scales well with volume in my opinion, it was still crystal clear at the edge of comfort for me. Your mileage may vary.

I'm afraid I don't know. I only recently got the Perl Pros and before that I was using old ass Galaxy Buds and this was my first step into something nicer. I can offer my thoughts on this specific model, but I don't have any experience with the others. I've seen technics recommended in the same comment as Perl Pros and they were on my radar, but a buddy of mine has some Denon sound stuff and vouched for the quality of the brand, and the current $150 price is a good value.

I appreciate the suggestion and information on the Perl Pro tips, I ordered a set of S/M/L Denu S&S tips to see if I like them better. I got my Perls about a month ago and I love them but I've struggled to find the right tip for me, hopefully this solves that for me as it's my only real "complaint" with them, though I hesitate to even call it a full complaint as it packages with lots of options, just nothing that felt perfect for me.

Of the ones listed, the Denon Perl Pro is the best... I own the AZ-100's and the Perl Pro... The AZ-100 is better call quality though... That being said... If your budget is $500, Devialet Gemini 2's... I use my Gem2's more than any other of my buds. I could also suggest Noble Audio Fokus Rex5's, $449... They sound amazing, but not the best for rock/metal music.

BEST sounding, are Nobel Audio Fokus Rex5 or Devialet Gemini 2... I also have the Status Audio Between 3ANC, Denon Perl Pro, Technics AZ100, and B&W Pi8... All of those are really great choices as well.

Mine doesn't feel overly cheap... Not as stout as my Rex5 case, but not bad... To me it feels very similar to the Denon Perl Pro case.

Depending on your price point... I would recomment the Denon Perl Pro, Status Audio Pro X, or Devialet Gemini 2... Of those 3, which I own all three, I would highly recommend the Status Pro X.

The best sounding earbuds are the Denon Perl Pros. I also own the Gemini 2, BW Pi8 and MTW 4. So far the best sounding has been the Denons the problem with them is there size and fit. Just below the Denons in sound quality are the Pi8 and Gemini 2. There are distinct differences you can hear in sound from each of these earbuds.

Yes the Denons have better sound quality. The Gemini has good sound quality but it is a more neutral sound with very accurate bass. You get that and more with the Denons.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a fix for the size and fit. Denon would have to literally redesign the earbud to make it much smaller with the comfort level of the Gemini 2 or the Pi8.

I have not experienced this. I was initially disappointed that DPPs don't support AptX HD, and my phone doesn't support Adaptive/Lossless, but the tuning is where the DPPs really shine.

Do they really sound that much better with Adaptive? I can see if you consistently are hitting Lossless on Adaptive there would be a difference if your source is HD / Ultra HD. I can't really compare, but the difference to me in LDAC (AZ80) vs AptX classic vs AAC using Amazon Music Unlimited Ultra HD tracks is noticeable but not a night and day difference. Also, if anyone is interested in the differences of the Pro and non pro versions. The pro has additionally: Ultra low distortion triple-layer titanium dynamic driver aptX Lossless (CD quality Bluetooth) Spatial audio with DIRAC Qi wireless charging More microphones for better call quality, including bone induction microphones Bluetooth 5.3 Multipoint Bluetooth (connect to multiple devices simultaneously) ProEQ - fine-tune your EQ after creating your personal listening profile Dynamic primary circuit for flexible single earbud use Longer battery life (up to 8 hours on a single charge, up to 24 hours with the charging case) 1 hour of playback from five minutes of charging Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/Earbuds/s/JqwlBzC828

I'll give it to Sennheiser they actually have better timing but it's little low sounding for me an not as bright as I'd like but yeah I agree with you the rest sound like dog shit compared to my Denon perl pro my rex5 an geekfly vitas. I'd say geekfly better for brighter more fun sound with all the details but no features an great battery life While rex5 is more analytical an some what detailed.

from all the tests i´ve seen, The only Wireless headphone that can stand toe to toe with its wired equivalent is the Audezee Maxwel and it steamrolls everything else in the bluetooth world. When you make a headphone, first you design the headphone, and then you think how you´re going to connect it. but in bluetooth headphones its the other way around. I tested time and time again, when i had the sound rhyme SR5 with a adapter cable, or the EM6L with AZ20 compared to "high end" bluetooth buds like the Technics AZ80, the Denon Perl pro, the Sony XM4... they just crush them. you lose ANC, and the package is bigger overall, but the sound quality is just in another category, thats why i have the AZ80´s for when i listen to audio books or go out at night and dont want to take my actual good mobile setup, and then have the BTR17 with the Aful P7 as by standard carry on and work setup (soon to be xenns top pro).

r/headphones • Does Bluetooth really suck this bad? Why do my $4 wired earbuds sound better than these $100 Tozo X1's? ->

I have a pair of TWS, Technics AZ80, and i tried to upgrade to the Denon Perl.... it sounded great but something was off, dont know if its was the poor isolation or the timbre, but something was there at the back of my head saying "take them off, the sound and feel wrong" and the TWS are great, i use them when i got out to bars or around town, but they just arent at the level of the BTR17 + the Xenns pro.

I would definitely recommend the Denon Perl Pro. Amazing sound and great discounted value on Amazon. I also own the Earfun Air Pro 4, they're value for the price.
