If you can find it on marketplace, buy it. Especially if your travel a lot, or live in an urban area where you walk more than you drive. I couldn’t justify new, but goddamn that thing is useful.

The Doona is expensive, but I absolutely adore mine. The turn radius is AMAZING imo.

I have a Doona that I use for right now and I used it on a recent trip with my baby, I wore him in the airports and out and about and threw my bag into the stroller. when I was with my parents I just left it in the car

I absolutely love our Doona for car travels. I take Uber pretty frequently and it’s just so easy for in and outs. I also traveled across the country and it was sooo handy in the airport! I found it heavy in the very beginning but I actually think I’ve gotten stronger since then because it’s easier for me to lift now. we were lucky enough to get ours for free so that is also a plus; we could never have afforded it with the hefty price tag

r/NewParents • Has anyone tried the Doona car seat/stroller? Is it really worth the hype? ->

Yeah I agree with this. I nanny and it’s just popular with people. I don’t really like it (and will usually choose a long lasting convertible over a bucket seat regardless), but it’s very popular.

I use a second hand doona which is good for infants as it folds into a car seat. Got it for $100

I loved it for traveling. Also amazed a couple pilots when I was collapsing it at the gate for them to check. It was perfect because my trip involved car rentals, car shares and flying. That said it is pricey so if you could borrow one for travel that would be the way. It’s my every day stroller though.
