Nuna - PIPA Lite Rx

I have a Nuna Rava forward facing behind the driver seat, and a Nuna Pipa rear facing behind the passenger. Both front seats need to move forward from where we'd normally have them to accommodate the car seats behind. I'm 6'2" and when I drive, I do need to move the seat forward a good amount from my normally position because my 4 year old would other wise have only a couple inches for her feet. There is not room to comfortably fit a third person in the middle seat of the second row I'd say. And no easy way to get to the third row with two car seats installed.

I had a Nuna (Pipa Lite RX) with my first and the Joie Mint this time and prefer the Mint! My baby always kicked off the sky drape on the Nuna and the Joie Mint honestly feels like similar quality to me (I have the maple that comes with the nutmeg). Strollers and convertible car seats are worth spending extra money on in my opinion, infant seats are outgrown too quickly to justify it to me. They all go through the same safety testing.

Our nuna car seats are hands down the best. We’ve bought cheap brands for travel + the maxi cosi’s for grandparents cars to compare. The nuna feels the sturdiest, highest end, and the thing doesn’t budge. It’s also incredibly comfortable and grows with your kids.

For us, no. We have the Nuna. Babies just hate being confined. Mine screamed every time she was in her seat from 4 months to 9 months! We played around with the Chicco and Cosco seats too, to see if any would help (nope - they didn't!). We ended up switching to a Britax One4Life around the 4 month mark to give her more space and so she could sit up more and see the world, but still dealt with screaming. Same thing happened to my friend who used both the Chicco and Graco systems for their two cars. They will eventually grow out of the screaming - we tried to bring a lot of entertainment and snacks to distract her and it helped immensely. She's just over 2 years old now and chills in her carseat for trips so it will get better, I promise you!

Have the Nuna tavo. Love it bc it’s so easy to use with the Nuna rx car seat. You can also lay the seat completely flat and has buttons on the feet, so it acts Iike a bassinet. Really didn’t want to buy a bassinet bc it felt like a waste of money. Also think about how the weather will be when your baby is born. It’s great in the wintertime to move the car seat into the stroller and cover her up completely to stay warm.

I’m a CPST who has installed hundreds of car seats and dealt with every company’s customer service. Nuna is top tier.

That’s why I feel like Nuna is a waste lol. The evenflo are very very very easy to install, so it doesn’t make any sense to buy extra bases, and they don’t even make them actually

We have one but honestly the price tag just doesn’t make sense unless you’re really sold on it and it fits your stroller needs. We really liked the concept of being able to use it without a base, but the way it functions without the base is pretty annoying (strap across lap). It’s light, but they all get heavy fast, so that’s similarly not something that rises to the price tag, IMO.

Love our nuna and very committed to sticking with the brand when we size up
