I recently got a Dreame L40 and really like it. It can leave the mop pads at the dock, which is a really useful feature if you have indoor cats. You can set it to vacuum first, then return to the dock to pick up the mop pads so it's not dragging them all over with bits of litter stuck to the pads.
r/RobotVacuums • Choosing a robovac for a housewarming present. Any suggestions? ->Look for a vac that has an extension arm for the side brush and mop pad so it can reach into corners. I got a Dreame L40 Ultra and it has these features but I've only had it a couple of days.
r/RobotVacuums • Looking for a robovac truly does edge clean. So any recs? ->Where? Camelcamelcamel has the L40 ultra as the lowest ever being \~499 but otherwise over 1k
r/RobotVacuums • Insane prime day deals for robot vacuums ->I picked it up today at 477, I installed Keepa on firefox and checked, the last time itw as sub 500 was for a few days in May, but generally seems to hover at a much higher price. Either way theyre probably clearing stock for another model release
r/RobotVacuums • Insane prime day deals for robot vacuums ->I had a cheap one years ago, and despite the low price, it was a waste of money. I recently purchased a Dreame L40 and it cost a lot more than I wanted to spend - but it was actually worth every cent. It cleans my floors better than I can myself
r/smarthome • Will I regret buying robovac, just another overpriced toy? ->Vslam is pretty outdated i hated how mine just ran into everything, scratching appliances. I upgraded to the dreame L40. the navigation is so much better, but i am returning it and switching to roborock
r/RobotVacuums • Roomba j7 soured me on robot vacuums. Is it time to try again? ->Hello Amandainpdx! I’m deciding between: 1) Dreame L40 And 2) 3i P10 Ultra I would go with your recommendation for the Dreame, but it’s not Prime shipping. And I have 2 dogs, and not sure what they will think of it. With the 3i P10 Ultra being Prime with free returns, so you think this makes better sense? Thanks in advance!
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->Pleased you are amused. What is the point in telling people bull shit. I've had an L20, L40, X40. The only one with no issues was the L20 and is still going strong. The L40 and X40 were replaced twice. I've had problems with Samsung . . I'm currently running a roborock, useless with obstacle avoidance, excellent on carpet, and a Eufy E28, very good but a very basic app. It isn't just about Dreame it's about giving no bull shit honest opinions
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame L50 Ultra Durability ->Hey, I am as excited as you are to test a DJI robot, but that's all. Test it. I can't see any reason to wait, because it could (and likely will) have quirks that need to be worked out. And I like DJI. There are a lot of brands, but I agree with the Roborock sentiment for this reason: they are consistently putting out good machines, whereas most other companies are hit and miss for me, and some are just consistent misses. If your dad is getting these clean via Swiffer, almost anything is going to be better or atleast the same, EXCEPT for the "edges" of rooms. He may still Swiffer, but atleast it'll only be toekicks, corners, under the stove/fridge, etc. I don't have numbers on the Saros downward force... they may well be out there. But just think of it this way, that lifting chassis brings up the front of the robot to go over thresholds. The back is forced downward, where the mop is. What I can say is that I think you can't go wrong here and you're probably making yourself more nuts than you have to. Both were GREAT machines and honestly, I had a very hard time saying one was better. They're mildly different, that's all. Based on what you're saying, if you trust me, go with a 10R.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->The J15 Ultra, with the razor cutters on the roller, is still the right vacuum. Buy it off the Eureka site, where its $550, if you can comfortably stretch. Don't get the Mova. The Dreame L40 Ultra is very good and would be a GREAT buy-remember reviewers bought it at 3x the price and like me, were reviewing it as a premium robot against other premium robots. For under $500? No brainer, its fantastic. Does that make sense? I think you have 2 great options. the L40 ultra or the J15 Ultra (through the Eureka website).
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->sure. If you are willing to spend $100 more, get the Dreame L40 Ultra. it's on clearance, so its $474, but this was a VERY popular model, and you're getting a premium, $1500 robot at 1/3 of the price. It's such a good deal it's hard to argue for anything else at that price point. Don't get another Eufy. This will be better.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->Almost all robots have sensors so that they're not going to fall off your stairs, and the vast majority have multi-floor mapping. If you can score an l40 ultra for under $500 I would grab it as soon as you can.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->The curve and edge are the same model. Personally, I happen to enjoy the look of the curve more because I'm sick of square towers. It's a personal preference. But, you don't really need to have that conversation. Because the l40 ultra is such a good deal. I would grab it.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->I would get the l40 ultra, I would get it today while it's on Prime sale and I would get it from Amazon. Mostly because it's a very easy return situation if you need it, while you get all of the customer support from the original brand.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->I'd get the L40 Ultra. too good a deal to pass up, even though I'm a roborock loyalist.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->As a fellow spoonie, I get you. OK. so some reality checks. Those shredded pet toys and cardboard are an issue. You've got to get those off the floor or any 700 robot is going to get stuck on them. If they're big enough toy floof clouds, the robot will avoid them because it perceives them as poop, but they have to be pretty big for that. We can solve that some different ways. Similar issue in kitchen (i experience this as well). Stains from the splatters are hard for robots to get. You need that pressure that manual mops have. But we can work around that too. You could run the robot ON the mat, but getting the robot onto the map is gonna be tough. if you could find a spot to add a tiny ramp (a piece of foam or triangle of wood) that'd help. Folding it up would suck. the dust, floor types, etc.. none of those are an issue. So... at 700$, you've got a few options. The J15 Ultra, purchased on Eureka, for $550. its out of stock at Amazon, but its a very good buy. The Pro Ultra will be on sale tomorrow, with a coupon that'll bring it down to 750, if you can swing it. This would be a great buy, good mop, etc but its not going to solve the above problems, we have to get around those. It will get the center of your rooms clean, and does as good a job on the edges as you can hope for. There's the L40 Ultra, as you mentioned. A great premium robot, but its' gonna get caught on debris, and my gut, since I know precisely the debris you're talking about in the kitchen/dog, is that the debris is often bigger than a cheerio. Dropped receipts, hair ties, (looking around my floor rn for reference), rando bits. But its an undeniable good deal. I liked the Qrevo MaxV... the Pro is a lesser vacuum but not terrible (haven't tested it, just reading the featureset differences https://www.rtings.com/robot-vacuum/tools/compare/roborock-s8-maxv-ultra-vs-roborock-qrevo-pro/49691/60895) The Curv is a legit better robot than these, but $$$$. I would encourage you to consider the 3i P10. I've just started playing with it, but since i'd REALLY like it if you could swing the 3i S10 which is kind of the total problem solver, this is a good backup at 599$ (and someone gave me a promo code good for 10% off it you buy it today). OK. so again... short of the s10, you're going to need to mitigate some stuff. The fluff/cardboard. if bending over and cleaning is rough, get a standing rake and collection bin. to help grab all of that, and your kitchen debris that's too large. Hold onto the dustmop (it can use wet mops, I assume?) and use that when there's a stain the robot can't touch, or once in a while around the "edges" of the room. Let me know how this lands, and what you're gravitating towards. If you're cool w it, I'll throw some affiliate links your way for them.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day last chance- a few hours left to score PD deals. Are you on the fence? Let's cut through it. ->I literally just had this convo in a PM w someone from rtings. I do. I thought the L40 was a better robot than most Dreame models, and while I didn't find it worth the value at the original price, I do think its worth it on sale. The P10 doesn't have longevity, IMO, because I think they skimp on hardware to keep the costs down. That's my hot take, and I totally get that I'm an island (I also dislike Eufy, and people in this sub love them) but I use a different testing method than most other testers (I test in an actual home setting), and I stand by it. The thing is, in that band, the L40 is my last pick. I'd get either the J15 or 3i before I got the L40. In the end, the model you pick is likely going to be fine, regardless. you haven't tested 100 robovacs, so like a virgin on your wedding night, it's all probably gonna seem great. if you feel strongly about the P10, go for it.
r/RobotVacuums • My Budget is $500: Dreame L40 Ultra vs Dreame L40s Ultra CE ->I prefer the other two models in that price band, but the L40 is still a great machine and its a fantastic price.
r/RobotVacuums • So what are you getting during these Prime deals? -># [Under $300](https://amzn.to/48R0G4J) Generally speaking, I think its rare you find a great robot at this price, and I've discussed why there's some sense in [not spending the money on real discount robots](https://www.whatrobotvacuumshouldiget.com/2025/06/20/are-budget-robot-vacuums-worth-buying/). Still... there are a few gems worth looking at, as more expensive models drop under this threshold. If you've got a smaller place, or a place with many floor objects, try a Switchbot. Because they're so small, they can get between chair legs and make a small radius around things. Switchbot just doesn't get enough attention, IMO. Lots of people purchased the K10+ Pro on my recommendation during Prime Day and have posted about how happy they are. The 11 made the tower smaller and improved some other specs, but is mostly the same model. The perfect apartment, studio, or office vac. Performs spectacularly well as a vacuum, particularly given the price and stats, but it is ONLY a vacuum. If you're more concerned about a mop, get the 3i. (its great at both, to be clear, but it has the best mop of the bunch). I really like the 3i brand, they're not new, they've been making robots for other companies for years. The G10 is stripped down from premium models, but it had the same sweeper>roller design that is so effective on the higher end models. If you're looking for a carpet forward model, Eureka is the only legacy vacuum brand that successfully transitioned to robots that work. While no brand has great customer service anymore, there's a benefit to Eureka being US based. No waiting 24 hours for a response. |**Model**|**Original Price**|**BDD Price**|**Discount**| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[SwitchBot Robot Vacuum K11+](https://amzn.to/4mOxq1O)|399.99|224.99|44%| |[3i G10+](https://amzn.to/48znS7N)|$449.99|$269.99|40%| |[Eureka E20 Plus](https://amzn.to/4mOwQBd)|449.99|299.99|33%| # [Under $500](https://amzn.to/4o4MPMA) Were seeing some amazing deals in this price band. That L40 Ultra has dropped from the original price of $1499 to under $500. So many people have been grabbing this model since Prime Day and most of them report being quite happy. While it wouldn't have been my favorite at a higher price, at this price, you're getting a premium model at an absurd sale price. I absolutely love the 3i current line up. The vacuum and mop are both fantastic and the app-easy. This is basically my top pick (3i S10 Ultra) minus the dehumidifier. The P10 still has the great sweep/roller design and gets up debris no other brand can without getting clogged. Get this one if you're concerned about larger debris. The Eureka is better than it should be. I loved the sweeper design, it moved debris off hard floors and carpet very effectively and would be my pick for carpet. Rarely got stuck on anything or reported errors, and it was just really reliable. I recommended this model during Prime Day, and got a lot of good feedback from folks who picked it up. |**Model**|**Original Price**|**BDD Price**|**Discount**| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Dreame L40 Ultra](https://amzn.to/48Rswhk)|$799.99|$469.99|41% | |[Eureka J15 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4gUYACY)|699.99|489.99|30%| |[3i P10 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4h1Sy3y)|$1,099.99|$469.99|55%| # [Under $750](https://amzn.to/4nypaUV) Roborock has won my loyalty over the past few years by producing consistently reliable robots, and the S5A is no different. A variant of the Qrevo line, with spinning mop heads that extend. While Roborock may produce an absurd number of models, and the S5A is no exception, they are reliable for an exceptional app experience, with intuitive setting locations, great support and good hardware with easy to find replacement parts. The L40S is the best of both worlds. A premium vac, at a not premium price for now. This is the model with the best balance on this list, of vacuum and mop. It improves over the L40 in the previous band with better nav and suction. Finally, if you want to emphasize mopping, Narwal does it really well. My two issues w this model are that it uses a ridiculous amount of water and there's a giant button on top of the machine your pet or kid will want to bop. If you don't mind refilling a lot, and you dig into the settings to lock the button (or don't have kids/pets) this is ideal. |**Model**|**Original Price**|**BDD Price**|**Discount**| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Narwal Freo Z Ultra (White Version)](https://amzn.to/46IEhUI)|$1,499.99|$550.00|63%| |[Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A](https://amzn.to/46ZYXI5)|$999.99|$649.99|35%| |[Dreame L40s Ultra](https://amzn.to/4o5ARCv)|$1,099.99|$749.99|32%| # [Under $900 ](https://amzn.to/4oad9oS) From the day it was released, I thought the Curv was a steal, most of the premium features of the S8 line, at a better price with improvements to the sweeps, extending out beyond the robot. The CurvX improves on the Curv with higher Pa and better nav. I do think its a better vacuum than mop. The X9 is a better mop than vacuum. but other than getting clogged here and there, was generally a good vacuum, and this is a reasonable price for it. Eureka is the best surprise this year. The J15 line is consistent and reliably performing. I love the sweeps, its a very effective mop and carpet cleaner and offers US based support. |**Model**|**Original Price**|**BDD Price**|**Discount**| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Ecovacs x9 Pro Omni](https://amzn.to/46CySzK)|$1,599.00|$899.00|44%| |[Eureka J15 Max Ultra](https://amzn.to/46UkK3x)|1199.99|$899.00|25%| |[Roborock Qrevo CurvX](https://amzn.to/48PvS4j)|$1,499.99|$899.99|40%| # [Over $900 ](https://amzn.to/48OKBMY) In this band are my top two recommendations. Let's start with my favorite robot of all time (a BIG statement). 3i has been making robots for other brands for a while, but the 3i is their first flagship. The S10 Ultra blew me away and became the only robot I've ever kept after testing. It will vacuum anything, without getting stuck or clogged. I mean, giant pieces of mulch. No problem. It cleans water on its own and generates more from the air, so it truly is set it and forget it. Totally autonomous. I've been yapping about it for months, and of everyone who bought it during Prime Day, I'd say people were split, 60/40. Most loved it, but some complained of a musty smell, which makes sense, since the unit is basically a dehumidifier (that's how it generates water). I've had mine for 6 months and don't notice a smell in a very wet state (Oregon), but it seems like something worth noting. So let's talk about the Flow. I tested the Dreame and Narwal roller mops, (and previously, the Eufy roller mops). Everyone is obsessed with roller mops, but the Flow is the first one I recommend. The flow improves on the Freo Z and X by not needing to be refilled constantly, and the vacuum improves over all other Narwal models. I still don't think roller mops are the end all/be all, so I wouldn't recommend dropping $1500 of this model, but I do think the Flow is worth buying at this sale price. |**Model**|**Original Price**|**BDD Price**|**Discount**| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[3i S10 Ultra](https://amzn.to/4o7hKIe)|$1,899.99|$1,099.99|42%| |[Narwal Flow](https://amzn.to/3IxMoLX)|$1,499.99|$1,099.99|27%| If you're looking for ALL the models on sale for Big Deal Days, they're [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1nvsulx/every_robovac_on_sale_for_amazon_big_deal_days/) or s[ee all sales models at once](https://amzn.to/4nt1sJH). r/RobotVacuums • Eufy X10 pro omni, Dreame L40 ultra, or something else? ->My Dreame L40’s front caster has broken, Costco(UK) telling me just to return…Dreame taking an age to reply to support! If I take a refund, should I replace like for like or can anyone recommend better in a similar price range? Mopping being the highest priority, but a great all rounder would be good!!
r/RobotVacuums • Replacement suggestions for an L40!! ->Good luck! I returned mine! Having had a Dreame L40 Ultra previously I did not like the eufy app. The mopping was great but did not get true edge cleaning compared to the L40’s spinning pads! Base unit was pretty noisy and I wasn’t impressed that there was no ‘mop after vac’ or ‘mop only’ option.
r/RobotVacuums • eufy E25 roller mop robot vacuum has arrived! ->Wait…then avoid 😆 I just bought this in the UK to replace a broken Dreame L40 Ultra, I was very disappointed.
r/RobotVacuums • Thoughts on eufy E25? Buy it now or wait until Prime Day? ->Only had my Mova Z50 about a month, but having replaced a spinny mop Dreame L40 which we used daily for 6mths…I can safely say the roller/trackpad bots are levels above in leaving a floor not only looking but feeling clean under foot!
r/RobotVacuums • Anyone using a roller mop for more than 3 months? Still recommend it? ->i bought a L40 ultra yesterday with 649euro from Amazon. its still on sale.
