i'd consider kz am16 balanced. high value set, nicely detailed and technical set nice for pinpointing footsets but has a nice amount of bass for immersive games and your music genres which tend to like some bass boost if those are out of budget tripowin vivace are a nice set for fps and should do everything else pretty well too

vivace are tuned pretty damn similarly to the zero 2s so best of both worlds, i'd still take vivace in your case

Yes, but that's pushing "budget". Tripowin Vivace has my vote.

this IS, the kind of post that should be put here, don't ask based on price, ask based on musical taste, so you can give a recommendation 7 times better than the average truth. double recommendation, tripowin vivace, kiwi ears cadenza. either one will be exactly what you are looking for.

Here's what I know from personal experience: 1. The chu 2 suffers from paint scratching issues.  2. The zero:2 had a cable that I hated and even though I think they've changed it, the current one doesn't look amazing. I've also had a freak manufacturing defect on one which was a pain to get replaced under warranty. I'd probably go with the cadenza or the vivace

I really like the Tripowin Vivace as my new favorite budget music IEM since the Vivace has a clear and natural overall tuning.

Nice review. I found the Vivace to be an enjoyable IEM in particular for its details. My only nitpick is that there is a bit too much more sub bass than bass. Yet this is a problem only with some tracks.

Hey man, curious between the Zero 2 and the EW300, would the EW300 be a good upgrade if I liked the tuning on the Zero 2? Looking for something natural yet with good tonality and clarity (not too warm). I tried the Vivace recently and it actually sounded a touch warmer than the Zero 2 which I didn't care for.

my first were moondrop chu 2. loved them to bits, but if i had to i wouldn’t get it again purely because of the moisture issue with the filters (i live in a high-humidity area) more recently got a tripowin vivace and am really liking it so far, so much so that i didn’t bother to autoeq or just even eq it in any way, because it sounded pretty much perfect to me stock

r/iems • I'm an IEMs absolute noob, and I wanted to give them a try. What was your first IEMs? Do you regret it? What would you get as a first cheap one if you could do it again? ->
