The first thing you'll probably want to decide on is if you need ISO-UK layout (with the big enter key), or the ANSI American layout. If you are fine with an ANSI layout, you definitely have more options. As for gaming, that really depends. If you are really into competitive PvP games, than you might be more interested in something with HE switches. These are magnetic switches instead of mechanical. Personally, I prefer regular mechanical switches. But HE switches are definitely more gaming focused. If you are fine with mechanical switches you might want to check out something like the Evo80. You can get in either ANSI or ISO layout and is generally a really well regarded keyboard. Mechmods has both layout options for sale ([ANSI](https://www.mechmods.co.uk/collections/keyboards/products/evoworks-evo80-keyboard-ansi-layout?variant=46286231699679) and [ISO](https://www.mechmods.co.uk/collections/keyboards/products/evoworks-evo80-keyboard-iso-layout?variant=54937039307130)). I also believe it works both wireless and wired. There are other options out there though, so it really depends on what you are looking for. Like if you really want RGB options, you might want to look at a Nuphy Gem80. But that only has ANSI layouts and I think they are currently sold out of there usually included switches and keycaps. Keychron is also generally well regarded. For the TKL layout there is the Q3 Max. But they have a few different options, including HE keyboards. So you might want to browse their options.
r/MechanicalKeyboardsUK • First Keyboard Help - TKL ->K has a lot of really dodgy keyboards in it, safer to just avoid it. Q and V are basically the same boards, the Q has a bit higher end components and the aluminum case.
r/Keychron • What is the best Keychron for me (PC Gaming + Work on Mac)? ->Wooting and Keychron are the only ones I would bother with. Wooting because Wooting, and Keychron because they're QMK.
r/keyboards • Looking for high end 75%/TKL gaming keyboard ->So far as I know only Keychron has a QMK-based magnetic board, though Monsgeek's driver is not terrible and the M1 v5 TMR has the ability to mix and match magnetic and traditional switches.
r/keyboards • How about the different brands' software? ->HE/TMR is a buzzy gamer feature that has resulted in a ton of boards that are meh coming to market and the amount of switch options you have is kinda limited, that's what you'd be getting with something like the thing you've linked. Mind you, it's gonna be a perfectly usable keyboard and you're probably gonna like it. Still way better than logitech . There are a bunch of EXTRA NICE ones like the Monsgeek M1 V5 or Womier SK75 or Lemokey P1 HE or Keychron Q HE series that have a metal chassis and had people spend time making them sound and feel and making sure they don't screw up the basics. I'd personally stretch the budget and get one of those but the MCHOSE is probably decent enough. The Womier isn't even that far off with current aliexpress discounts.
r/keyboards • Cheap HE keyboards? ->I have a Q3 HE, and it work pretty well. Web driver is user friendly and build quality is great. Typing experience is great in terms of sound and feel. For performance, it’s 1k pulling, I can’t notice a difference between 1K and 8K pulling some brands are offering, if you care about the pulling rate, consider the Q3 HE 8K released recently, but it don’t have the wireless connectivity the Q3 HE have. Overall it’s a great keyboard
r/keyboards • Looking for high end 75%/TKL gaming keyboard ->keychron q3 but there are better tkls and the knob is in a weird spot better get 75% stuff like Lemokey P1 in silver [https://www.lemokey.com/products/lemokey-p1-qmk-via-custom-gaming-keyboard?variant=48200869413163](https://www.lemokey.com/products/lemokey-p1-qmk-via-custom-gaming-keyboard?variant=48200869413163)
r/keyboards • Recommendations for a beginner mechanical keyboard? ->For wireless keyboard I'd look for those that have qmk/via such as the Keychron
r/linux_gaming • Which gaming hardware companies (mouse/keyboard/headset) have their software officially compatible with Linux? ->Their new HE series seems promising for gaming.
r/linux_gaming • Which gaming hardware companies (mouse/keyboard/headset) have their software officially compatible with Linux? ->understanding you a bit better, honestly wouldn’t touch the primarily gaming brands, i’ve had quite a few logitechs in my time and nothing compares to the keychron q1 i’ve had for like six months and i’ll never look at big brand “gaming keyboards” again. a Keychron Q3 Max specifically has the same % keyboard as your steelseries and it’s a large sum cheaper considering you can customise things like switch types. hope this helps
r/keyboards • the absolute BEST analog keyboard ->Just got a Keychron Q3 Max and unofficially retired my Ducky/Varmilo Miya Pro Sakura. Now thinking about turning the Miya Pro into a project. How well would it take 3305 Mill-Max sockets? What other mods would be well suited to it? I'm thinking of swapping switches (or at least relubing the stock reds) and perhaps doing some kind of foam mod to improve and soften the sound.
r/MechanicalKeyboards • /r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - October 15, 2025 ->+1 Keychron is worth the price. I use Keychron Q3, much better than those overpriced "gaming" keyboards.
r/PHbuildapc • what’s the best gaming keyboard? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
