I've been using this one for years and absolutely love it because of the rechargeable battery that's easy to swap. Quality is awesome and there are custom headbands out there. Granted, I haven't looked at the current landscape since this one has met my needs: Arctis Pro Wireless Gaming Headset steelseries Edit: this one also doesn't break the bank and is what I would consider a pretty affordable.
r/Gamer • Recommended PC headset for boyfriend ->Yup, a DAC which is also the receiver if you're not using Bluetooth but it's great because it recognizes PlayStation and PC and has some extra controls on it giving it a little more flexibility in how you want to use it. There's also a program that can change how it works with your computer. Edit: one other neat feature is that you can use Bluetooth on it simultaneously so you can be in Discord on your phone but listening to PC Audio at the same time.
r/Gamer • Recommended PC headset for boyfriend ->I think the issue here is that you play on pc, which desktop mics are going to be a lot easier to plug in. Gaming headsets provide a plug and play experience, especially on console where you have to go through several loops just to get a DAC working. I believe that OP is on console, so advice for a desktop mic while doable isn't the most convenient and most definitely will end up out of the budget given. The maxwells have a strong sound signature but are way too heavy to be practical if you're not a big head. In my own experience, I ran Beyerdynamics on console for a bit and actually prefered my artics 5x, as the beyerdynamics were way to quiet especially for siege and as forementioned, getting a dac working on console just doesn't feel worth it. The headset was 16 ohms as well, so it shouldn't have been underpowered. Personally, i'm currently selling both the dac and the beyerdynamic headphones and will be upgrading to the artics elite.
r/SiegeAcademy • What headset should I choose for siege between these two? ->I run the steelseries artics 5x (5p would be the playstation version) I'll be upgrading to the artic elite pro
r/SiegeAcademy • What headset should I choose for siege between these two? ->crazy that people dont know that it was one of the main things that made me buy this headset
r/steelseries • I'm just going to say it. The Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless is the best headset ever made (in my opinion of course) ->Steelseries. Although I’d recommend the arctis pro. I’ve had both headsets and I will never go back to Logitech for anything except my mouse.
r/SiegeAcademy • What headset should I choose for siege between these two? ->Steel Series Artics 7 Pro or Logitech G Pro X. The logitech is kind of expensive but the only headset I can use while walking around my house or even parts of my backyard, worth it off that alone.
r/buildapc • What's the Best Wireless Gaming Headset in Your Opinion? ->I picked up a couple of arctis pro wireless (not the arctis *nova* pro wireless) headsets for my fiancée and I recently. They were on sale for $160 or so each at Best Buy. I did not want to buy them, I did not want to like them, and I went through each and every single headset from every other brand there before I even considered looking at them because I’ve heard so many bad things about steelseries customer service. But, we needed new headsets that day and they checked all the boxes at a good price so I bit the bullet anyway. Turns out they’re amazing and I love them. They sound fantastic, are surprisingly light, and the microphones are able to pick up only the wearer’s voice even when we’re playing & talking in the same room 6 feet apart. They’re also extremely comfortable for both of us which is rare - I have bigger ears that stick out and she has small sensitive ears, so most headsets only work for one of us. They don’t sound quite as refined as my old sennheiser studio headphones or even really the AirPods max, but you don’t need or expect them to for gaming. They’re also more comfortable during extended use than my senns/APMs. The product itself is great, just hoping I never need to contact customer service for anything.
r/buildapc • What is the best wireless gaming headset for a 14 year old for his birthday next week? ->I am new to PS switch from XB and I brought over ny Astro A50s to PS, didn't like the performance on PS so I bought Steelseries Arctic Wireless Pro and Pulse Elites. I would return the pulse elites but scracthed them changing out cushions. The Steelseries I really like even better than what the A50s were for me on XB.
r/playstation • Headphone recommendations? ->Steel series arctic pro wireless has lasted me years, batteries can be finicky sometimes but that’s it
r/pcmasterrace • Another „Gaming Headset“ bites the dust, tired of overpriced/hyped headphones. ->These headsets in particular will have plastic that after a couple years of use will dry out and snap for no reason. I just put mine on the head and they snap and my head is quite small on average so tension on my head should be way smaller than other people. When I googled the problem it had happened to a ton of people and ofcourse the warranty was just out so I couldnt get a new pair and they gave me nothing.
r/steelseries • Got the Elites today. ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
