I find the 3p detachable mic to be so intrusive id settle for the nova 5 honestly could go for 2 days straight heavy use (im talking like 48 hours battery life speaking from experience) without charging and you barely notice the mic it has and the mics great too has an option for 2.4 and bluetooth pairing too. Little to no downsides but ye steelseries has been a solid brand for me i had a arctis 3 that lasted me for 6 years just replacing the wires it needs until the mic finally gabe out
r/steelseries • HEADSET RECOMMENDATION, STEELSERIES / HYPER X ->I got steelseries arctic nova something. Work both with Xbox and PS5 and any Bluetooth device (simultaneously, can do both phone and console to not miss out on calls for example).
r/PS5pro • New Pro Owner… looking for headset recommendations? ->Steelseries Arctis nova 5p. They cost about £130. I have had so many sets of wired headsets and either the mic breaks or the cable screw up, or they are cheap and I sit on them or something. So I thought I would get wireless ones and I honestly can't complain. The battery life is amazing and the sound quality is great. You can spend more but to be honest I don't know what I am missing with the more expensive ones so couldn't say. But it's mad, you can hear whether someones above you, behind you etc, mad.
r/ArcRaiders • The sound when using a good set of headphones with directional sound is, dare I say, the best sound in any game ever made. ->Those steel series ones I got are amazing. Wireless and battery last ages. 200 dollars or pounds.

I bought the Nova and never had any complaints. Cheaper than Astros but approved by Pro gamers that they're better.
r/playstation • Which would you choose, and why? ->I bought it a month ago and here are the pros: - Great sound quality which is heavily customizable with the SteelSeries GG app - Can connect to one device with the USB dongle and another with Bluetooth at the same time - Good quality build. Seems sturdy. - I like the retractable mic. It also has this feature where it plays your voice back to you. This removes that whole complete sound isolation issue where you don't know how loud you're talking because you can't hear your own voice. Cons - Although GG app allows customization, it creates multiple sound profiles on Windows which is a pain to organize for all the different programs you may use. - I struggle to get it connected wirelessly after it disconnects. - it's less comfortable than my older hyper x cloud 2. Starts hurting my ears after an extended period of time.
r/steelseries • Wireless SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 ->I think it might have to do with it creating multiple sound profiles. I click the button and the green light turns on, I can see sounds playing on screen (like a youtube video) but no sound comes out of the headphones. I then need to close the headphone, long press the power button until it turns green again, then it connects. Its not a pairing issue as I've paired it but just cumbersome I have to do this every time. And the online guide/user guide isn't helpful either. Maybe I have a defective unit as I don't see other people have this problem.
r/steelseries • Wireless SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 ->Audio differences between the Nova and the 7P+ are minimal. I owned the 7P+ before I upgraded to the nova and let me tell you the two major points that I noticed were better. 1: The fabric headband that the 7P+ uses gets stretched out over time and needs replacing, whereas on the Nova you can buy rubber ones and you won’t have the same issue. 2: The Novas support simultaneous 2.4 ghz and Bluetooth connections. So you can have it connected to both a PS5 and a phone and hear audio from both simultaneously. There’s also the fact that with the 7P+, you have to connect it to your PC to mess with its audio settings and adjust its EQ. I’m told the Gen 2 Novas now have mobile app support. I’d go with Nova
r/playstation • Which would you choose, and why? ->Have been through many, can highly recommend SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5P Wireless Gaming Headset and i use them for both pc and ps dayz. Comfortable for extended hours of use easily. Pull out mic, and easy mute button as well. It actually has a dayz setting as well and the 3d directional sound is unbeatable. https://preview.redd.it/2shgioixpyaf1.jpeg?width=1320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dcaaa085913d5893203111901e0f5a6ba425791d
r/dayz • Decent dayz headphones? ->Can confirm no ‘nubbin’ on the new series arctis nova, only the old ss ones
r/dayz • Decent dayz headphones? ->i just got it, i think the microphone absolutely sucks. i’ve seen this complaint many times but not in these comments, it’s so quiet, it stutters, i don’t know if this is only a pc issue but i wil be returning it.
r/steelseries • Wireless SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 ->Sounds great, a lot of details (good for footsteps), good battery. The negative for me: stock earpads are not deep, my ear is touching the inner part of the earcup. So I had to swap to an aftermarket earpads.
