Audeze Maxwell - Considered one of the best wireless gaming headsets. Popular with music creators as well as for gaming. Mic is reasonably good, though can clip a little. Comes with leather earpads, but they can be replaced easily. Drop + EPOS PC38X - One of the best wired gaming headsets for sound clarity and mic quality. Bass reproduction is a bit muted, which is common for older style EPOS / Sennheiser headsets, and common with open back headphones in general. The mic is essentially the best of any consumer headset you can buy. Generally can only be bought directly from Drop's site. Comes with both cloth and velour earpads. [https://drop.com/buy/drop-epos-pc38x-gaming-headset](https://drop.com/buy/drop-epos-pc38x-gaming-headset) Steel Series Arctis headsets are generally a decent middle ground in terms of decent bass and mic quality. The overall audio quality isn't as good as either the Maxwell or PC38X, but they're closed back so their bass response is more like the Maxwell. And the mic quality is generally better than the Maxwell, but no where near as good as the PC38X. Most (maybe all?) use cloth earpads. Nova Pro Wireless and Nova 9 are both quite good, with the Nova 9 being slightly better in terms of audio clarity and mic quality, but the Pro Wireless has better bass and noise cancelling.
r/buildapc • What's the best Gaming headset in terms of Sound quality and quality microphone? ->Arc Steel Series is another solid option. I have a wireless one I purchased for $100 two years ago and haven’t had a single problem. Crisp, clear audio and super comfortable too.
r/XboxGamers • Headset recommendations ->The Arctis steel series ones that are marketed for Xbox work with PlayStation too and I see now they have some PlayStation branded ones too
r/PS5pro • Headset recommendations ->I use the Steel Series Arctic 7+ Pro I think it’s called? The wireless one with a non-swappable battery, you don’t need no swapping, the battery life is amazing, upwards of 30 hours on a single charge. I haven’t owned a lot of headset but this one is by far the best I’ve tried. I hear a lot good stuff about Astros as well.
r/gamingpc • Best pc gaming headset ->Nice, I guess mine must but around 5 years old as well, fingers crossed it keeps on working for a while
r/gamingpc • Best pc gaming headset ->That’s odd, I have a big head as well but with the adjustable velcro band, it’s fine, I can wear it all night without issue. I know they have a few model with a similar name though, maybe I got it wrong and we aren’t talking about the exact same model, I’m not sure.
r/gamingpc • Best pc gaming headset ->No complaints from my friends, they say it sounds clear. Again, I haven’t tried a lot of headsets/mics, I know it sounds better than the PlayStation Gold I used to own on console. Some people find the Steel Series app awful, personally I like it, you can play around with sliders and stuff to adjust the sound of both your mic and different inputs through a feature they call Sonar (media, game, voice, etc). I also use the app as a recording device sometimes to review some recent gameplay, set the buffer and review how I die in Tarkov as an example.
r/gamingpc • Best pc gaming headset ->I just bought Artics 7+ a week ago. I wanted the Nova 7, but I just liked the Artics 7+ more it was on a special as well. Let me tell you, I'm super satisfied. Every time I boot up my PC, I just can't wait to slip my baby on and just start jamming and coding. The sound is crystal clear. The battery lasts so long that I wish they could go dead so that I can charge it green the green light (for me, that means go). They fit like a glove, and I hardly made any adjustments to the ski bands. The cashier who gave them to me was like, "Damn man, you'll enjoy this shit.". Felt like a plug providing a new product. I downloaded COD ww2 and just blasted them while it felt like I'm watching a movie. I'm too afraid to smoke a joint and listen to music with them. I might vanish into the SteelSeries realm...
r/steelseries • I chose Steelseries as my first ever gaming headphones (happy) ->I got lucky then. Cause I got them at Evetech, my dedicated supplier in SA. I'm not sure if they are global
r/steelseries • I chose Steelseries as my first ever gaming headphones (happy) ->I left the Arctis series to go Nova and I wish I hadn’t. The Arctis 7X+ is one of the best midrange headsets I’ve ever owned. The new Nova style feels like it’s for kids heads and ears. So much smaller. Also, have you tried getting a new dongle instead? You could try and locate and 7X+ dongle and pair the headset and see if you get more life out of them?
r/steelseries • Need help deciding which head set to get ->Dunno what headsets you've been using but I'm on my 3rd SteelSeries headset since I've been buying them since 2015. First pair I bought which is the Siberia v2s (iirc) are still working beautifully and I use them with my PS5 when I travel for work. My second pair is an arctis wireless pair, forget the model, but they only got replaced because I was given my current ones as a Christmas present. Zero issues ever.
r/pcmasterrace • Another „Gaming Headset“ bites the dust, tired of overpriced/hyped headphones. ->Steele Series Arctic wireless 7+ Hands down best bang for buck. Have a ton of my friends and family on it.
r/buildapc • Best Wireless Gaming Headset Worth Buying Today ->Arctis 7+ wireless if you don't have the budget for this one.
r/buildapc • Best Wireless Gaming Headset Worth Buying Today ->Got my first Steelseries headphones around 2016, served me well until last year. It still works perfectly only the leather started to scrapping and the cat chewed the microphone (still works tho!). Bought a new Arctis 7+ wireless and I love it. Battery life and wireless range is almost unbelievable, sounds great, comfy. This is one of their cheapest headphones so I guess the expensive ones are even better. The only thing I don't like is the GG software but it's not a big deal.
