Own Levoit 400 for our main living area (1,100 sq ft apt), the smaller one in our bedroom (toddler sleeps with us). Had them prior to Covid and love them. I vacuum the filters when I can per the manual. I got my mom the blueair 311i max because she was closer to one of the “minor” fires here in LA and she loved it so much she got the mini for her bedroom along with my dad’s (they sleep in separate rooms lol). I ended up getting the mini to bring to work.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • What are the Best Air Purifier for Allergies? ->It helps a lot. I bought it due to smoke but I’m happy to get rid of cooking and dog smells. I have one from Blueair.
r/askTO • Had an air purifier helped with the air quality? Is it worth getting one? ->We love our blueair also. Got a dog a month ago and happy to hear from guests our house doesn’t have a dog smell.
r/askTO • Had an air purifier helped with the air quality? Is it worth getting one? ->We run 3 in our house, one in the main living area (diy pc fan with hvac filters), and one in each bedroom (blue air brand or something, I think). Also consider plastic on leaky windows (cheap sliders).
r/saskatoon • Air purifier ->Sorry, what "air quality problems"? Can't say we've noticed any, with our 3 air purifiers running 24/7 in a one-bedroom apartment... 😉 (Both of us have pollen allergies and one of us has asthma.) That should answer your question. Seriously, buy an air purifier. Once you feel the difference you'll probably end up getting a few more. We've got two of the medium Coway models (Airmega AP-1512HH or 200M) and a smaller BlueAir. They also help with smells -- bathroom, pet, or cooking. Highly recommend the Coways because they: * Are whisper-quiet on all but the highest setting, and can auto-adjust (though we usually leave them on medium because they get loud if they kick into high). * Move a lot of air for their size * Have filters that last way longer than they're rated for (as long as you clean the prefilter) * You can turn the main light on the purifier off for use in a bedroom at night Tip: it's better to get several medium air purifiers and put one in each room or area rather than getting just one big one.
r/askTO • Had an air purifier helped with the air quality? Is it worth getting one? ->I have the 311i max and I really like it. I never knew air purifiers could be so good. I always thought it was a scam until I used one and noticed the difference. I have one in my living room and when we fry onions or something similar it goes off right away. Never knew they had an app.
r/BuyItForLife • The REAL best air purifier - I HATE DUST! ->There's also the Winix D360/480 series as a Home Depot exclusive, which doesn't have ionizers and has a pretty high CADR rate. I don't think there are after-market filters but Winix said they continue to manufacture filters for 10 years after so maybe you won't have problems. I'm eyeing it. Honestly my first air purifier was BlueAir and I loved it. Dead silent on the first setting (I think having a vertical fan helps), and I could run it on the high setting all day. I have birds and had no idea about the ionizer though. I've gone through one Honeywell which made my room smell like a plastic pool toy, and I'm not so happy with the return-replacement either, I ran it on turbo today and got a pretty big headache and felt like I was having trouble breathing, which sounds insane but it stopped when I turned it off. I'm almost tempted to just go get another BlueAir and remove the ionizer manually, but I also know that their CADRs are based off of ionizer on, and the larger sizes have significantly more expensive filters.
r/AirPurifiers • I’m lost ->We have a few Blue Air, 4 of them. They are expensive but worth the price for me. The app works great and the filter replacements are a breeze (filters also last). They also don’t look stupid which is nice. You can replace HVAC filters with basic MERV5 cheap ones as well. This helps the furnace and AC run better with less restrictive airflow. Big BlueAir guy.
r/BuyItForLife • Recommendation for high-end Air Purifier for 10×10×10 ft room (US, VOCs) ->A good furnace filter taped to a fan so it pulls air through it will works well. I’ve got a couple blueair units mostly because the fans are nice and quiet and they look nice so I can use them year round.
r/vancouver • What air purifiers are best for forest fire smoke? In a 400sq ft room? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
